And that baptism was a very public event too. We marched about a mile down the main street and then turned down a path that led to the baptismal site. This public display of faith, as sincere and innocent as it might be, is often the source of religious conflict. In this case, the only way to get to the baptismal pool was to march through the town. It was a great witness.
